Why do we all have to do things differently? Sure, you could argue that it's the differences between people and things that make the world go round, HOWEVER, there are certain things that really could just be standardised. For instance - women's clothing sizes and shoe sizes. Similarly, why can't crochet hooks (and while we're on the subject, crochet stitches) all have standard sizes?
Over the years, I have found myself collecting various crochet hooks and all of them seem to be in various sizes. Not that I'm touting my own country, however we do seem to have a very sensible system of sizing... measuring the diametre of the hook in milimetres. How sensible is that?
Despite my moaning, there are people out there to help us out. I have found some solace in this crochet hook conversion chart. Thank goodness!

Third time's a charm... I can only hope!
Not only is this my third attempt at blogging...
I need to blog in order to de-clutter my mind. I spend half my days thinking of great blog posts, but rarely post them anywhere. Them I’m weighed down by the feeling that I really ought to do something about all these potential blog posts I have swirling around in my head.
I think that what’s been holding me back so much is the fear that what I write won’t be perfect. Oh well, I’ve read quite a few other blogs that are far from perfect and they’re still online… because their owners just keep blogging. So I’ll work on the premise that you can’t kick a goal every time, but if you keep trying, sometimes you will.
Oh my god! I’m sounding all positive and personal growth-y (Cue fingers down the throat!)
